Little Homesteaders Spring Course
Wednesdays and Thursdays
9:30AM – 11:00AM
9:30AM – 12:30PM
4:30PM – 6:00PM
Ages 6 – 12
In the modern world we live in, children spend far too much time indoors and in front of screens which leads to a whole host of health, behavioral, and mood issues. Our goal is to get your kiddos hands-on and engaged and back to basics.
From sourdough to woodworking, this spring we have some amazing activities planned! All classes are 90 minutes with the option to stay an additional 90 minutes for our “Farm-to-Table Lunch Bunch” for our morning classes. In addition to all activities listed below, we will be spending time working in the garden each class and get to watch our spring garden grow all the way from seeds to produce. We will use that produce in some of our classes and farm-to-table lunches (additional charge) so your Little Homesteader gets the full farm-to-table experience. Our last class will be a field trip to our homestead in Cibolo where we will give a tour, feed the animals, and grill up a local lunch (included) for all the kiddos to enjoy.
Our classes are designed and taught by a certified and experienced Texas teacher and incorporate STEM and Literature in hands-on, real-life applications. We have a maximum of 8 kiddos in each class to keep the ratio low for maximum learning and engagement. All classes include movement, story time and class materials. Please bring a reusable water bottle. Please dress your children in clothing so that they can get dirty and move around comfortably so they can participate in all motor and outdoor activities without worry. We also have t-shirts on sale if you would like to purchase one for your child to wear to class.

Farm-to-Table Lunch Bunch:
11:00AM – 12:30PM
Due to popular demand, we have decided to continue our Farm-to-Table Lunch Bunch and extend the time frame! After each class the kiddos will help cook up a lunch made with locally raised and grown ingredients (sometimes as local as our backyard). This program is focused on giving the kiddos time to enjoy their little community and will be spent cooking, eating, socializing, and playing outside. Lunches include homemade chicken nuggets and home-canned green beans, Grilled Cheese on Homemade Sourdough with Tomato Soup, Mini Chicken Pot Pies with a Flaky Sourdough Crust and more. The cost to add this on for the entire course is $250 per child lump sum or an additional $50 per month billed for 6 months.
