Learn to make a truly local gourmet meal: All meat and produce are in-season and locally sourced. The panzanella salad is made with croutons made from our day-old sourdough. The gnocchi is prepared in class with our century-old sourdough starter.
Chef Jason Lord has always had a passion for the communal experience around the table and sharing of good food. During his military career he was fortunate to have experienced many cultures and their foods. After the military, he received his culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of Virginia. He then became the executive chef at a luxury bed and breakfast in the hills leading to Shenandoah National Park. He brought farm-to-table ingredients and flavors from around the world together to experience and share with guests. We are excited to have him on board to help spread his knowledge of local and sustainable cuisine to our community!
